I’ve been asked about the cost of our IVF cycle and what I’ve said is we’ve had to save for a while to make this a possibility for our family. That usually is the key phrase to let them know not to ask again and press the subject!

See if you qualify for fertility lifelines compassionate care program. If you do, you can get up to 75% off of medication! You can read about the program online…

My family qualified for discounted Meds through fertility lifelines / Compassionate care program. You get up to 75% off your medication. Our total bill for our medication for our invitro cycle would have been 4800, but with the discount we got, it ended up only costing us 1600 dollars. It really helped us out seeing it took us 3 years to save up for our invitro cycle.

I just had my retrival yesterday, and my Dr. called today to tell us we have 22 perfect embryos to be frozen for our transfer next cycle. I was a little disappointed I was unable to transfer 5 days after our retrival, but because I almost over stimulated, and my levels were so high, a frozen eggs cycle is what was recommended. We plan to transfer one embryo next month, and if for some reason that one doesn’t stick, the next month we’ll try two. I guess it’s a good thing we are waiting until next month, I honestly feel worse than I thought I would after my retrival, but my Dr told me that’s because I had 3 dozen follicles he took eggs from. I’m just going to relax and take it easy for the time being, and pray everything goes as planned next month!
